ACAI BERRY AND INFLAMMATION

Acai berry is a unique natural energy fruit with a taste somewhere between a mix of berries and chocolate. Researchers have discovered that a single fruit contains concentrated anthocyanins. The anthocyanin content is about 3.5 times that in a glass of red wine. This has been proved through oral analysis. Anthocyanins neutralize enzymes that kill the connective tissue of our bodies. Acai berries contain antioxidants which help in protecting connective tissue and repairs damaged proteins hat are present in the walls of our blood vessels.

Consuming this berry will delay wrinkles, heart disease and carcinoma. They are not yet widely known, but acai berries are extremely healthful. Their calcium content is as high as that of milk, and the amino acid profile is similar to that of eggs.
If we take a helping of this berry, we take in antioxidants that are important for general good health and longevity. Antioxidants also work against the ageing process, heart ailments, cancer and other degenerative diseases, including eye problems and bodily inflammation.

Acai berries also protect us from free radicals and inflammation, a little known fact. These are the two main reasons for ageing and degenerative diseases. Acai prevents ageing of the body and skin by getting rid of free radicals. Free radicals are unstable groups pf atoms that have one missing electron. Free radicals are produced as by products of normal metabolic processes and in reaction to environmental negativity such as pollution and radiation. If nothing is done about them, free radicals remove electrons from healthy cells and damage DNA and at the same time increase chances of heart disease, cancer and other similar diseases.

The nutrients needed to fight against these harmful processes are vitamins C and E and beta carotene. Things like spinach, blueberries, strawberries and wine are good, but acai berries are a better choice. Acai berry works against inflammation too, as do salmon and extra virgin olive oil. You may come by these in natural stores as capsules and powders. You can use the powder in your cooking to make smoothies, juice drinks or yogurt. Your health will be benefited, and you will have a great time preparing them. Being a fruit, it can be taken directly. You won’t have to fear any side effects.
