FACTS:
What soluble. Like all the B-complex vitamin, any excess is excreted and not stored in the body. It must be re-placed daily.
Measured in milligrams (mg.).
Being synergistic, B vitamins are more potent together than when used separately. B1, B2, and B6 should be equally balanced (i.e, 50mg of B1, 50 mg. Go B2, and 50mg of
B6) to work effectively.
The RDI/RDA for adults is 1.0 to 1.5 ,mg. (During pregmancy and lactation 1.5 to 1.6 mg. Is suggested.)
Need increases during illness, stress and surgery.
Know as the “morale vitamin†because of its beneficial effects on the nervous system and mental attitude.
Has a mild diuretic effect.
