There are many ways that an eating disorder support group can help a person tackle their eating disorders and it may also include giving unconditional love and support. Remember that the most important thing to follow when offering help to a person having an eating disorder is to give them your complete and unconditional support. And, an eating disorder support group is able to provide just that because the support that it will give is vital to the patient and even more important, to his or her self-esteem.

Also, the eating disorder support group would be better able to handle mood swings which occur frequently in patients which may be caused by both physical as well as psychological reasons. The physical aspect may cause the patient to have vitamin and mineral deficiencies while psychological conditions would result in depression, due to low levels of serotonin.
